PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds Article By Salarsain

PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds (PUBG) is an online multiplayer battle royale game developed and published by PUBG Corporation, a subsidiary of South Korean video game company Bluehole. The game is based on previous mods that were created by Brendan "PlayerUnknown" Greene for other games, inspired by the 2000 Japanese film Battle Royale, and expanded into a standalone game under Greene's creative direction. In the game, up to one hundred players parachute onto an island and scavenge for weapons and equipment to kill others while avoiding getting killed themselves. The available safe area of the game's map decreases in size over time, directing surviving players into tighter areas to force encounters. The last player or team standing wins the round.

Battlegrounds was first released for Microsoft Windows via Steam's early access beta program in March 2017, with a full release in December 2017. The game was also released by Microsoft Studios for the Xbox One via its Xbox Game Preview program that same month, and officially released in September 2018. A free-to-play mobile game version for Android and iOS was released in 2018, in addition to a port for the PlayStation 4. A version for the Stadia streaming platform was released in April 2020. Battlegrounds is one of the best-selling and most-played video games of all time. The game has sold over 70 million copies on personal computers and game consoles as of 2020, in addition to PUBG Mobile accumulating 734 million downloads and grossing over $3.5 billion on mobile devices.

Battlegrounds received positive reviews from critics, who found that while the game had some technical flaws, it presented new types of gameplay that could be easily approached by players of any skill level and was highly replayable. The game was attributed to popularizing the battle royale genre, with a number of unofficial Chinese clones also being produced following its success. The game also received several Game of the Year nominations, among other accolades. PUBG Corporation has run several small tournaments and introduced in-game tools to help with broadcasting the game to spectators, as they wish for it to become a popular esport. The game has also been banned in some countries for allegedly being harmful and addictive to younger players.

Sindh raises objection to NFC notification.

KARACHI: Chief Minister Sindh Syed Murad Ali Shah has raised objections on the new notification of NFC, saying it is against the Constitution to cut funds from the provincial funds. Three articles of the NFC terms of reference are against the Constitution, he said in his letter to the PM, objecting to different clauses of the terms of reference of the freshly-issued notification of the federal government to reconstitute the National Finance Commission while terming them not in conformity with the Constitution.

The letter states:This is with reference to the above mentioned subject and in continuation of my earlier letters dated 14.05.2020 and 08.06.2020. 2. At the very outset, let me appreciate the fact that you acceded to my request regarding the illegal and unlawful constitution of National Finance Commission by issuing a fresh Notification dated 21.07.2020. The Notification with regards to the members of National Finance Commission appears to be in consonance of Article 160(1) of the Constitution.

It is further stated that in my above letters, besides the members of the National Finance Commission, I had also objected to the terms of reference that were earlier notified. In particular, I had submitted that sub-clauses (d) to (h) of clause 3 of the Notification issued on 12th May, 2020 are beyond terms specified for the National Finance Commission to make recommendations under Article 160 (2) of the Constitution. I appreciate that this contention was also agreed by you and these sub-clauses are deleted in the fresh Notification dated 2 1.07.2020. 4. However, I again submit that the clause nos. 2 (d) to (f) in the freshly issued Notification is not as per the Constitution.

In this regard, I place reliance on what is expressly stated in the Constitution and a perusal of the same shows that the said TORs are not mentioned therein. Moreover, I also place reliance on the Title of Chapter-i, Part-6 of the Constitution which states that it will deal with distribution of revenue between the Federation and Provinces.

The chief minister said it was very clear that the said chapter was only limited to the distribution of revenue and not issues pertaining to financial expenses. "I may also draw your attention to Articles 78 to 83 of the Constitution which deal with expenditure of the Federal Government and Articles 118 to 123 which deal with expenditure of the Provincial Government." He said in each case, the respective legislature (National Assembly of Pakistan in case of Federal expenses and Provincial Assembly in case of provincial expenses) was authorized to approve the respective expenditure. The National Finance Commission cannot take over the role which the Constitution explicitly gives to the legislature.

It is very clear from the above, that TOR Nos. 2 (d) to (f) are not in conformity with what is stated in our Constitution. Therefore, the same may be omitted/deleted from the said Notification. Thanking you and hoping that we shall all endeavour to uphold the Constitution and enforce rule of law through our actions.

The copies of the letter containing the subject “Constitution of National Finance Commission” have also been sent to the chief ministers and finance ministers of the three provinces.

the Sauvira Kingdom, is mentioned as an
important trading center in early Buddhist

Little is known about the city's
history prior to the Arab invasion in the 8th

Dynasty, which was followed by Rai Dynasty
and then the Brahman Dynasty that once

Tere Bina teaser: Salman Khan and Jacqueline Fernandez can’t take their eyes off each other

Tere Bina” is a romantic track, which has been shot at Khan’s Panvel farmhouse in four days.
On his YouTube channel, Salman described the song as, “Life is incomplete without that special someone, who lights up every moment of life. With them every step is an opportunity and everyday is a new beginning.”

Earlier, Salman and Jacqueline opened up about the song in a video. While Salman said, “The kind of song it is, it was not fitting in any film, so I thought let’s release it like this,” Jacqueline shared, “We are used to shooting for songs with big productions which take weeks of prep. But for this song, we were a team of just three people. For the first time, I was checking lighting, moving props around and taking care of the makeup.”
The song has been sung by Salman himself while the lyrics have been penned by Shabbir Ahmed.
The full song will be out on May 12.

Sindh’s call for market reopening suggestions labelled ‘delaying tactic’

Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah has said markets across the province will be opened in stages.

He has formed a committee to give suggestions on the opening of markets but the Sindh Tajir Ittehad has accused him of using delaying tactics. They believe he is going to stretch this out till April 30.
The association’s chairman Jamil Paracha claims that he has no hope of markets opening in the province before Ramazan. The country is under lockdown till April 30 and Sindh has previously been resistant to reopening markets.
However, the Ittehad’s president, Atiq Mir, said he believes markets will open in the next three to four days. He urged traders to have faith in the government, as it has said the markets will open.
The government has the authority to shut down markets if traders do not follow the set SOPs, he said.
CM Shah has suggested that traders choose days on which their markets will be open. Proposals have been given to open markets on Tariq Road from 8am to 5pm on Monday, Wednesday and Saturday, electronic markets on Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday and Khalid Bin Waleed Road and Jamshed Road from Monday to Friday.
The government is focusing on providing relief to small traders, according to the chief minister. He said the federal government is already giving loans but it would be better if those loans were interest-free and long-term.
Proposals and suggestions regarding the opening of markets will be given to the chief minister today (Sunday), after which he will make a decision and speak to the federal government.

President to decide about Ramazan gatherings after ulema video conference

President Arif Alvi will be holding talks today (Saturday) with religious leaders across the country to discuss matters pertaining to gatherings during Ramazan amidst the coronavirus.
According to Federal Minister for Religious Affairs Noor-ul-Haq Qadri, the president will hold a video conference with the ulema. Suggestions from provincial ministers have also been taken and a decision regarding prayer congregations is expected to be announced after the president’s approval.

A decision regarding the matter will only be taken after a consensus is reached between the ulema and the government, Qadri said. He also appealed to the ulema to take the coronavirus situation seriously.
In separate phone calls, the president spoke to Jamaat-e-Islami chief Senator Sirajul Haq, JUI-F chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman, Markazi Jamiat Ahle Hadith chief Senator Sajid Mir and PML-N leader Rana Tanveer Hussain regarding safety precautions to be taken to contain the pandemic during the holy month.
Religious leaders of Rawalpindi and Islamabad will attend the meeting from President House, while those in other parts of the country will attend it through a video link from their respective governor houses.
The move was taken by the authorities to discourage religious leaders from holding congregations after several cities saw significant gatherings for Friday prayers.
Clerics such as Mufti Muneebur Rehman and Mufti Taqi Usmani had previously announced that they will not observe the ban on public gatherings.
